BLOOD AND JUSTICE - #1


PAGE TWO (7 PANELS)

Panel 1: Jesus stands facing the ATM machine, in full view. Thin but very muscular, he has a tattoo of a cross (made from one regular and one inverted letter J) on his chest. Other than the motorcycle helmet, he’s wearing black leather pants and massive black boots. Carl Robb is dead on the ground at his feet. A strange thread of blood winds from Robb’s chest, upward into the air.

JESUS T.O.: pretty villainous, huh? see, about an hour ago, my step-father injected me with a serum that forces me into a blind rage. well, not really a rage. i’m calm and in control. and i’m not blind.

Panel 2: Jesus steps over Robb toward the ATM machine.

JESUS T.O.: i can still see.

Panel 3: Close on the ATM display panel. On the glowing touch screen, below the word WITHDRAWL are several buttons. Jesus touches the $20.00 button.

JESUS T.O.: but the serum changes me. i could never hurt anyone like this without it. never mind kill anyone. gives me a splitting headache, tho. an unfortunate side effect.

SFX (ATM machine): BOOP!

KENJI V.O.: Jesus! Incoming!

Panel 4: High-angle view of Jesus. He’s turned away from the ATM, holding a $20.00 bill in his hand. He looks upward into the black sky. Three red, glowing objects are reflected in the visor of his motorcycle helmet.

KENJI V.O.: Sorry! I was updating my MySpace page.

SFX (demon O.S.): RRWAAHHHH!

Panel 5: Jesus leaps from the ground up onto the roof of the Bentley.

JESUS: Thanks a lot for the heads-up, Kenji! I thought you said you were getting something to eat?

KENJI V.O.: Yeah, uh...no.

Panel 6: Jesus stands posed and ready to fight, on the roof of the Bentley. A large tattoo that reads SIN 2 SAVE in gothic lettering covers his entire back. He faces three huge, red, winged demons that descend from the sky toward him.

JESUS T.O.: these guys? pals of satan. yeah, THE satan. you think he’d know by now to cut to the chase. not waste my time with grunt fodder.

Panel 7: Close on the hideous face of the first demon. Curling horns jut from its forehead. Razor-sharp fangs slice outward from inside its mouth. Its scales and eyes and wings are burning red.

JESUS T.O.: poor bastards.

SFX (demon): WRRAAHHWWW!
